Plan to Attend Conferences in One of These Business-Friendly Airports!

Chances are you’ve started planning your business travel calendar through the end of the year and into next. Travel Leaders Group released its list of top 10 airports with business traveler amenities.

Some of the popular conveniences on which these airports were rated included good Wi-Fi access, charging stations, private workspaces, overnight shipping services, banking services, and airline lounges—all the things that make it easier for you to do business on the go.

A long week of learning, networking, and selling at conferences and conventions can leave business travelers tired and with little patience for obstacles that stand in the way of getting home quickly. Simple airport conveniences such as a nice lounge or short TSA lines can go a long way.

You may want to take into consideration these business-friendly airports when planning which conferences and conventions to attend this year!

#10 Dulles International Airport

There was a three-way tie for 10th in the survey, which included Washington D.C.'s International Airport with 6.3% of the vote.

It’s no surprise this political hot spot has a business-friendly airport.

Aside from all the politics going on in Washington D.C., there are also a TON of conference and conventions that take place throughout the year. Take advantage of this beautiful city any time of year, and combine your next business trip with some sightseeing around the National Monuments!

#10 San Francisco International Airport

Next up in the three-way tie for 10th is San Francisco International Airport, also with 6.3% of the vote. Although this airport is conveniently located just outside the city and easily accessible by BART (San Francisco’s public transportation system) it is a little bit of a gamble to book a flight into SFO.

It’s a good thing that the airport is business traveler-friendly, because fog can cause huge delays at this airport. You can pass the time waiting for your flight by using their excellent business amenities to work.

That said, there are plenty of conferences that take place in San Francisco throughout the year that are well worth the gamble. They usually take place at Moscone Center, and include heavy hitters such as SEMICON West and Dreamforce 16. If you need more reasons to gamble on the fog delays at SFO and come to San Francisco for a conference, check out our blog on things to do around Moscone Center, and you will realize that attending conferences in San Francisco are worth the (potential) wait.

# 10 Newark Liberty International Airport

The last airport in the three-way tie for 10th is Newark Liberty International Airport with 6.3% of the vote. This airport can be easier to fly into if you are headed to New Jersey and not NYC. One of the great events that happens in this state is the New Jersey Fall Home Show, which features some beautiful home and garden products and ideas.
